Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 support for LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and firewall issues
- Troubleshoot routing and switching issues on devices like Cisco Systems, Juniper Networks, or Hewlett Packard Enterprise equipment
- Configure and manage VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, and other routing protocols
- Manage firewall configurations (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks)
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds
- Perform firmware upgrades, patch management, and configuration backups
- Implement and maintain network security policies
- Handle incident management and root cause analysis
- Support network documentation and topology diagrams
- Coordinate with L3 engineers and vendors for complex issues
Technical Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
- Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls
- Knowledge of MPLS, SD-WAN
- Experience with VPN (IPSec, SSL VPN)
- Understanding of network monitoring
