Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities

* Design & Architecture: Develop, implement, and document secure network solutions (LAN, WAN, VPN, VLAN).

* Performance Optimization: Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and execute capacity planning for maximum uptime.

* Security & Compliance: Create, maintain, and enforce network security measures, including firewalls, security frameworks, and disaster recovery plans.

* Troubleshooting: Resolve complex network problems, outages, and escalated tickets.

* Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers.

* Automation: Utilize scripting (e.g., Python, Perl) to automate routine tasks and optimize workflows.

* Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors to design solutions and procure hardware/software.

Required Skills and Qualifications

* Experience: 45 years in network engineering or administration roles.

* Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent

* Certifications: CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or CCDP preferred or any Allied courses preferred.

* Networking Knowledge: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, and SD-WAN.

* Technical Skills: Proficiency with routers, switches, firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Cisco), and network monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Splunk etc).

* Soft Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
