Job Title: Network Engineer x1
Location: Bangalore, India (required on-site 4 days per week)
Duration: 6-month CTH
Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Cisco switches, firewalls, DNA Center, and Umbrella.
- Manage firewall security policies, VPN configurations, and network segmentation strategies.
- Implement automation and management workflows leveraging Cisco DNA Center for provisioning, monitoring, and assurance.
- Use Cisco Umbrella for cloud-based security, policy enforcement, and threat protection.
- Monitor network performance and proactively resolve connectivity, configuration, and security issues.
- Participate in network architecture planning, upgrades, and scaling initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation, diagrams, and configuration standards.
- Collaborate closely with security, infrastructure, and application teams on cross-functional projects.
- Provide tier-2/3 escalation support for network-related incidents and service requests.
Required Qualifications
- 35 years of professional experience as a Network Engineer or related role.
- Strong working knowledge of Cisco switching and firewall platforms (IOS/NX-OS, ASA, Firepower).
- Experience deploying and managing Cisco DNA Center and Cisco Umbrella.
- Solid understanding of routing, switching, and network protocols (BGP, OSPF, STP, VLANs, VPN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
- Experience with network monitoring, packet analysis, and troubleshooting tools.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Palo Alto Networks (PAN) firewalls and Panorama management.
- Experience with F5 Big-IP technologies (LTM, GTM, iRules).
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, PCNSE, F5-CA/F5-CE.
- Background supporting midlarge scale enterprise environments.
