Role Description This is a contract, on-site Network Engineer role based in Surat. The Network Engineer will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and related equipment. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring network performance, diagnosing and resolving connectivity issues, and providing technical support for desktops, laptops, and servers as needed. The role also involves implementing network security measures, documenting configurations and changes, and collaborating with internal teams or clients to plan and execute network improvements. The ideal candidate is hands-on, customer-focused, and comfortable working in dynamic on-site environments.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Network Engineering and Network Design, including configuring routers, switches, and other network devices.
- Proficiency in Network Administration and Troubleshooting, with experience monitoring performance and resolving connectivity or configuration issues.
- Knowledge of Network Security best practices, including firewalls, access control, and basic risk mitigation.
- Experience supporting desktops, laptops, and servers in a business environment is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, Linux) and basic server administration.
- Ability to document network diagrams, configurations, and procedures clearly and accurately.
- Effective communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in accessible terms.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) or equivalent practical experience are preferred.
- Ability to work independently on-site in Surat and manage time and priorities across multiple tasks.
