Network Engineer

Job Role – Network Engineer (3 Years of Experience)

Job Location – Pune

Work Mode : Work from office

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Network Engineer.

Strong knowledge of L2/L3 networking concepts.

Hands-on experience with switches and routers.

Basic to intermediate experience in firewall administration.

Knowledge of VLANs, trunk ports, STP, DHCP, and routing protocols.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Switching & Routing

Configure, implement, and troubleshoot Aruba, HPE, and Cisco switches/routers.

Perform port configurations, VLAN assignments, trunking, and uplink management.

Monitor switch performance and resolve L2/L3 network issues.

Firewall Management

Manage and troubleshoot next-generation firewalls (Fortigate, Sophos, etc.).

Configure security policies, NAT, VPN (IPsec/SSL/SD-WAN), and perform traffic monitoring.

Carry out firmware upgrades, backup/restore operations, and manage security rules.

VLAN & Network Segmentation

Create and manage VLANs across the network infrastructure.

Configure tagged and untagged ports based on network design.

Ensure proper network segmentation and secure traffic flow.

Good Communication & Coordination

Work with cross-functional teams to resolve network issues.

Coordinate with ISPs for link provisioning, downtime, and troubleshooting.

Prepare documentation, asset inventory, and detailed network reports.

Provide timely updates to management and end-users.

Engineer available at any time to remote support

Experience:

Knowledge or Hands-on Experience Aruba/HPE/Cisco core routers and switches.

Knowledge or Hands-on Experience Aruba/HPE/Cisco wireless technologies.

Knowledge or Hands-on Experience Handling Fortigate/Sophos firewalls.

Knowledge or Hands-on Experience VLAN, STP, VPN, ACLs

Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT

Knowledge or Hands-on Experience SD-WAN
