About The Team
You will be joining a forward-thinking Infrastructure Engineering group that is transitioning away from traditional box-by-box management toward a NetDevOps philosophy. This team sits at the intersection of Hardware and Software, acting as the architects of the company's internal nervous system. They value proactive stability over reactive firefighting and are currently focused on migrating manual LAN/WAN processes into automated, version-controlled workflows.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Modernize the Backbone: You will shift the network environment from manual CLI entry to Infrastructure as Code (IaC), ensuring that deployments are repeatable, documented, and error-free.
- Drive Operational Efficiency: By implementing CI/CD pipelines, you will reduce the time it takes to deploy network changes while simultaneously increasing the resiliency of the LAN/WAN environment.
- Strategic Growth: You won't just fix things—you will conduct cost-benefit analyses and lead vendor negotiations to ensure the network can scale with the company's fiscal and technical goals.
- Proactive Resilience: Using automated telemetry and monitoring, you will identify and resolve bottlenecks before they impact the end-user, providing expert Tier 3 support.
Experience You'll Bring
- Full Lifecycle Expertise: Proven experience designing, deploying, and maintaining complex LAN/WAN environments and integrated VoIP systems.
- Automation Mindset: A track record of moving manual tasks into automated scripts to minimize downtime and human error.
- NetDevOps Mentality: Familiarity with modern software development lifecycles (SDLC) applied to networking, specifically using version control and automated validation.
- Business Acumen: The ability to translate technical requirements into financial justifications for stakeholders and vendors.
Tech Stack
- Automation & Orchestration: Python, Ansible, Terraform.
- Infrastructure as Code: CI/CD Pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions).
- Networking Protocols: Advanced IP Routing (BGP, OSPF), LAN/WAN Architecture, VoIP.
- Monitoring & Telemetry: Automated monitoring tools and data-driven performance analytics.
