Summary
The Network DevOps Engineer is responsible for executing network automation initiatives across a multi-cloud environment, supporting network infrastructure operations, automation, and deployment activities. This role focuses on developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions, automating network operations, standardizing connectivity across cloud platforms, and maintaining deployment pipelines. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in cloud networking, Terraform, Python automation, and networking fundamentals, with experience supporting large-scale cloud environments across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Terraform and Terragrunt modules to provision and manage multi-cloud network resources.
- Support the deployment and maintenance of network components, including Transit Gateways, VNET Peering, Cloud Routers, and Load Balancers.
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot Python scripts used to automate routine network operations.
- Automate infrastructure-related processes, including IP address management (IPAM) updates, DNS record management, and firewall policy deployments.
- Standardize and support connectivity across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Configure and maintain multi-cloud connectivity using native cloud networking services and VPN or direct connectivity solutions.
- Manage and support CI/CD deployment pipelines for network infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to GitHub Actions, Terragrunt, Argo, and network automation workflows.
- Ensure infrastructure code changes follow established Network-as-Code standards and deployment practices.
- Support day-to-day operational requests involving VPC and VNET modifications.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and engineering teams to implement scalable and secure network solutions.
- Maintain consistency, reliability, and operational efficiency across cloud network environments.
Experience Requirements- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Network DevOps, Cloud Networking, or a related infrastructure engineering role.
- Hands-on experience supporting enterprise cloud networking environments.
- Experience developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code solutions and automation frameworks.
Required Skills- Strong experience with cloud networking technologies across one or more major cloud providers.
- Hands-on experience with AWS networking services, including:
- VPC
- Security Groups
- Transit Gateway
- Route 53
- Hands-on experience with Azure networking services, including:
- Virtual Network (VNET)
- Network Security Groups (NSG)
- Virtual WAN
- Experience with GCP and OCI networking concepts, including:
- Shared VPC
- Virtual Cloud Networks (VCN)
- Dynamic Routing Gateway (DRG)
- Advanced knowledge of Terraform and Terragrunt, including:
- State management
- Multi-provider configurations
- Infrastructure automation
- Strong Python scripting skills for API integrations and automation.
- Experience working with Python libraries and API interaction frameworks, including boto3 and requests.
- Daily proficiency with Git and GitHub, including:
- Pull Requests (PRs)
- Branch management
- Merge conflict resolution
- Experience managing and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including:
- BGP
- Routing tables
- Firewall concepts
- Experience working with Palo Alto firewall technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills- Experience supporting multi-cloud network architectures spanning AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.
- Experience with network automation and Infrastructure as Code best practices.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions and Argo deployment workflows.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud connectivity and network standardization initiatives.
