Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Network Data Engineer to design, implement, and manage data-driven solutions that support the performance, reliability, and security of enterprise networks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both network engineering and data engineering, with the ability to analyze network data, optimize systems, and support automation efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze network traffic and performance data to detect bottlenecks, failures, and trends.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines that collect and process data from various network devices and tools (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Integrate and visualize network data using platforms such as Elastic Stack, Grafana, or Power BI.
  • Design and support network monitoring solutions and alerting systems.
  • Automate network diagnostics and reporting using Python, Shell scripting, or other relevant tools.
  • Collaborate with network engineers, security teams, and IT operations to improve visibility and operational efficiency.
  • Create documentation and reports for internal stakeholders based on network performance and metrics.
  • Support the implementation of SDN (Software Defined Networking) and network automation initiatives.

Required Skills:

  • 4–6 years of experience in network engineering, data engineering, or a hybrid role.
  • Proficiency in network protocols and devices (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python or other scripting languages for data processing and automation.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nagios).
  • Experience in handling data with SQL, NoSQL, or time-series databases.
  • Understanding of ETL pipelines, data aggregation, and reporting techniques.
  • Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with NetFlow, SNMP, Syslog, or other network data sources.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Git for network automation workflows.
  • Knowledge of big data frameworks like Spark or Kafka is a plus.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Network+ are advantageous.
