Job Description

General Cisco Support Engineer

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot: Identify and resolve complex network and product issues
Provide support: Provide technical support to customers over the phone, email, or chat
Escalate issues: Move unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams
Document issues: Log issues and solutions in a database
Train customers: Provide training on new systems and products
Monitor networks: Monitor networks for faults and ensure they meet business needs
Plan improvements: Plan for future improvements and suggest IT solutions
Ensure compliance: Ensure all IT meets industry standards
Provide security: Oversee the security of systems and install antivirus protection
Solves product and network problems of high complexity by quickly isolating and resolving issues.
Increase customer network uptime by providing independent consultation to solve complex network and product problems.
Single point of contact for network problem resolutions - manage, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
Submits complete and correct defect reports in area of expertise.
