Department: IT Infrastructure / Network EngineeringOverviewThe Network Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing complex enterprise network solutions. This role ensures the organization's network infrastructure is secure, scalable, high-performing, and aligned with business objectives.Key Responsibilities1. Network Design & ArchitectureDesign and develop end-to-end network architecture for datacenters, cloud, WAN, LAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN environments.Evaluate current network setup and recommend improvements for scalability and performance.Create high-level and low-level design (HLD/LLD) documentation.2. Implementation & OptimizationLead deployment of routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless systems.Optimize network availability and performance through capacity planning and traffic analysis.Ensure redundancy, failover, and disaster recovery designs are in place.3. Security & ComplianceIntegrate network security solutions such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, Zero Trust models, VPNs, and access control policies.Work with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.4. Troubleshooting & Incident ManagementProvide Tier-3 network support for critical issues and escalations.Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes.5. Collaboration & Stakeholder ManagementWork with IT leadership, system architects, cloud teams, and vendors to deliver network solutions.Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, and implementation timelines.Required Skills & ExperienceTechnical SkillsStrong knowledge of routing/switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS).Expertise with Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or equivalent technologies.Experience with SD-WAN technologies (Cisco Viptela, Meraki, Fortinet, etc.).Proficiency in firewalls, load balancers (F5/AVI), VPN, and wireless architectures.Hands-on with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).Understanding of network automation tools (Python, Ansible) is a plus.Certifications (Preferred)CCNP / CCIEJNCIP / JNCIEAWS/Azure Cloud Networking certificationsITIL FoundationSoft SkillsStrong analytical & problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and documentation capabilityAbility to lead complex technical projects
