Network Administrator

Sikich is seeking a Network Administrator is responsible for administering, managing, and securing the company's infrastructure across India and US operations. This is a hands-on, infrastructure-focused role spanning on-premises systems, Microsoft 365, and Azure cloud services, while maintaining local network elements in India and providing support to US-based systems. The role requires a strong working command of Windows Server, Microsoft 365 administration, Azure cloud infrastructure, and network appliances.

Job Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for critical outages and alerts, triaging and resolving issues with a sense of urgency.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain network equipment — switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, cabling, and related physical infrastructure.
• Support Windows Server environments including administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot and validate end-to-end reachability and system health — from endpoint, network, and compute, through to the application.
• Monitor logs and alert systems to identify and respond to issues proactively.
• Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and configuration changes for the knowledge base and audit purposes.
• Provide incident response and coordination with other departments and external vendors when necessary.
• Support Azure infrastructure including Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Azure vWAN, and Azure Firewall
• Support Microsoft 365 services including Entra Id, Conditional Access, Intune, Exchange Online and Teams.
• Support identity lifecycle tasks – user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access requests.
• Participate in other IT infrastructure related projects and tasks.
• Provide tier-2 and tier-3 escalated support, managing and resolving tickets sent to the Infrastructure queue.
• Serve as the lead technical resource for the India IT team, offering technical mentorship, guidance and knowledge sharing to junior staff.

Requirements for Successful Candidate

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in network administration or IT infrastructure support.
• Working knowledge of and hands-on experience with networking concepts including TCP/IP, switches, routers, firewalls, access points, VLANs, and DNS/DHCP.
• Experience with Windows Server administration.
• Experience with Azure cloud services and infrastructure.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 including Entra Id, Conditional Access, SSO, Intune, and Teams
• Ability to leverage PowerShell or Python and other CLI's for system administration, automation, and task execution.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with methodical problem-solving approach.
• Clear communication skills with ability to explain technical issues and solutions to non-technical users.
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of infrastructure issues.
• Capability to prioritize and manage multiple issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to provide off-hours support for critical US infrastructure issues.
• Comfort working with networking equipment and cabling.
