About The Role
Job Title: L2 Infrastructure Network Security Engineer
Key Responsibilities
Must-have skills
- Strong hands-on experience in FortiGate firewall administration, including policy management, NAT, routing, VPN, and HA troubleshooting in enterprise environments.
- Good working knowledge of FortiManager for centralized policy deployment, configuration management, and controlled production changes.
- Ability to troubleshoot IPSec VPN, access blocks, firewall incidents, and HA failovers using logs, diagnostics, and structured root-cause analysis.
- Experience working in a production ITSM/change-managed environment, with strong ticket ownership, SLA adherence, and clear documentation.
- Familiarity with security fundamentals such as stateful inspection, URL filtering, traffic logging, and security event analysis.
Nice-to-have skills
- Fortinet certifications such as NSE 4, along with exposure to FortiAnalyzer for logging and analytics.
- Experience with FortiAuthenticator, FortiClient EMS, and FortiExtender for authentication, endpoint VPN, and WAN extension use cases.
- Exposure to OT/ICS network security and firewall segmentation in manufacturing or plant-floor environments.
- Working knowledge of Cisco ISE, Zscaler ZIA, or equivalent NAC/SASE tools used in modern security architectures.
- ITIL Foundation knowledge and experience handling TAC cases, certificates, and security change requests in a structured support model.
