Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy NetSuite customizations using SuiteScript 2.x (user event, client, scheduled, map/reduce, Suitelets, RESTlets) based on documented business and technical requirements.
- Build and maintain integrations between NetSuite and external systems using SuiteTalk, RESTlets, and other REST/SOAP APIs, including data transformation and error handling.
- Configure and extend NetSuite using SuiteCloud tools (SuiteBuilder, SuiteFlow, SuiteAnalytics) alongside custom code to deliver complete, maintainable solutions.
- Develop and optimize SuiteAnalytics assets (advanced saved searches, KPIs, dashboards, and SuiteAnalytics Workbooks) to provide actionable operational and management reporting.
- Implement and support SuiteAnalytics Connect to expose NetSuite data through ODBC/JDBC/ADO.NET, enabling secure access from external BI and data tools while managing roles and permissions.
- Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to review requirements, propose technical designs, and decide when to use configuration, SuiteAnalytics, SuiteAnalytics Connect, or custom scripts.
- Produce and maintain technical design documents, data models, integration specifications, and analytics documentation to support longterm maintainability and knowledge transfer.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing scripts, workflows, integrations, and analytics/Connect queries to improve performance, stability, and user experience.
- Support full development lifecycle activities, including sandbox development, code review, unit testing, deployment (e.g., SDF), and postgolive technical support.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a NetSuite Developer or Technical Consultant with handson SuiteScript 2.x development across multiple projects or fullcycle implementations.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (and ideally TypeScript), including debugging, performance tuning, and working with modular code patterns.
- Proven experience building SuiteScript solutions (user event, client, scheduled, map/reduce, Suitelets, RESTlets) and working with NetSuite's record structure and APIs.
- Demonstrated experience with SuiteAnalytics: advanced saved searches, pivot/summary reporting, KPIs, dashboards, and SuiteAnalytics Workbook for datasets and visualizations.
- Handson experience implementing and using SuiteAnalytics Connect, including drivers (ODBC/JDBC/ADO.NET), role/permission setup, and connecting NetSuite data to external BI or data platforms.
- Experience designing and implementing integrations using SuiteTalk, RESTlets, and standard REST/SOAP APIs, including handling JSON, XML, and authentication mechanisms.
- Good understanding of NetSuite data model and core modules (e.g., financials, order management, inventory, CRM) and how technical changes affect business processes and reporting.
- Familiarity with SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF), source control, and structured deployment processes is a strong asset.
- Experience in a consulting or clientfacing environment, with the ability to translate requirements into technical designs and explain technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; NetSuite developer/technical and SuiteAnalytics/SuiteAnalytics Connectrelated training or certifications are a strong advantage.
