A NetSuite functional consultant is an expert who implements, customizes, and maintains the NetSuite software for businesses by mapping client requirements to the system's capabilities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Analyze and map business processes and client requirements to NetSuite functionalities.
- Lead configurations and implementations across core NetSuite modules including Order to Cash (Sales, Credit Memos, Returns & Refunds) and Procure to Pay (Purchase, Billing, Credits & Returns).
- Prepare detailed Technical Requirement Documents (TRDs) and comprehensive End-User Training Materials.
- Manage and execute NetSuite customizations, including:
- Custom Records, Saved Searches, Reports, Fields, and Forms Suite Bundler and Dashboards
- Roles & Permissions, Auto-Generated Numbers, and Two-Factor Authentication
- Configure NetSuite Features & Preferences (User, General, Sales, and Accounting).
- Manage release previews and business process testing for ongoing NetSuite upgrades.
- Support data migration activities using CSV import and create mapping templates from legacy systems to NetSuite.
- Conduct Unit, Integration, and Regression testing for endto-end implementations and customizations.
- Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing), identify issues, and ensure timely resolutions.
- Provide post-production support, handle enhancement requests, troubleshoot functional issues, and document process changes.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams, project management, and key business stakeholders during implementations and sandbox refresh activities.
- Design and customize Workflows, SuiteBundles, forms, record types, roles, and dashboards to meet business requirements.
- Create and manage Custom CRM Fields, Entity Fields, Item Fields, Transaction Body Fields, and Transaction Column Fields in NetSuite.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience as a NetSuite Functional Consultant.
- Strong understanding of ERP processes including Order to Cash and Procure to Pay.
- Proven experience in NetSuite customization, configuration, and data migration.
- Solid experience with Suite Bundler, Saved Searches, Reports, and Workflows.
- Exposure to system integration testing, regression testing, and UAT coordination.
- Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.
