Job Summary :

JOOLA is seeking a NetSuite Developer with strong hands-on NetSuite ERP development experience to support the customization, enhancement, integration, and ongoing optimization of our enterprise application landscape. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, NetSuite administrators, integration engineers, and technical leads to deliver reliable, scalable, and well-governed NetSuite solutions.

The ideal candidate brings 4-8 years of experience in NetSuite development, strong SuiteScript and customization skills, sound analytical judgment, and the ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions. We are seeking a hands-on developer who can support core NetSuite processes while learning and contributing across integrations, eCommerce, CRM, EDI, and related enterprise application capabilities on the job.

Role and Responsibilities

NetSuite Development & Customization

• Develop, customize, and maintain NetSuite ERP solutions using SuiteScript 2.0/2.1, Client Scripts, User Event Scripts, Scheduled Scripts, Map/Reduce Scripts, RESTlets, Suitelets, and workflows.
• Build and enhance custom records, custom fields, forms, roles, permissions, saved searches, dashboards, reports, and templates to support business requirements.
• Support NetSuite modules and processes including order management, inventory management, procurement, fulfillment, invoicing, financial management, and multi-subsidiary operations.
• Translate functional requirements into scalable technical designs, configurations, scripts, and automations within NetSuite.
• Troubleshoot and optimize scripts, workflows, saved searches, and customizations for performance, governance limits, data accuracy, and operational reliability.
• Develop reusable scripts and technical components that reduce manual work, improve controls, and increase process efficiency.

NetSuite Configuration & Business Process Support

• Configure and support NetSuite business processes across Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), inventory, supply chain, finance, and warehouse-related workflows.
• Support business users by analyzing system issues, validating root causes, and implementing permanent fixes in collaboration with administrators and functional teams.
• Assist with user roles, permissions, approvals, forms, transaction layouts, saved searches, and reporting needs while maintaining governance and security controls.
• Perform data updates, CSV imports, mass updates, data corrections, and validation activities with strong attention to data quality and auditability.
• Participate in peak season readiness, regression testing, production support, and issue resolution for high-volume business periods.
• Understand business process impacts before making changes to ensure reliable downstream operations across finance, operations, supply chain, and customer-facing teams.

Integration & Data Enhancement

• Support integrations between NetSuite and enterprise platforms such as Shopify, Salesforce, Celigo, EDI/SPS Commerce, 3PL/WMS, analytics, and other internal or external systems.
• Develop and maintain NetSuite RESTlets, SuiteTalk integrations, SuiteQL queries, saved search exports, and data transformation logic to support reliable data exchange.
• Work with integration teams to troubleshoot data flow issues, API errors, mapping gaps, failed records, duplicate records, and downstream processing errors.
• Apply understanding of integration patterns including synchronous and asynchronous processing, webhooks, scheduled exports, file-based transfers, and API-based data exchange.
• Design reliable automation with proper error handling, retry logic, logging, data validation, and operational monitoring.
• Support data migration, data cleansing, and data reconciliation activities across NetSuite and connected enterprise systems.

Quality, Documentation & Release Management

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following NetSuite development standards and internal design guidelines.
• Participate in peer code reviews, unit testing, regression testing, UAT support, and production deployment validation.
• Use Git-based workflows and deployment tools such as SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF), SuiteBundler, or other release management processes as applicable.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation including design notes, script logic, mappings, configuration details, release notes, and support runbooks.
• Follow change management practices to ensure production changes are tested, reviewed, approved, and traceable.
• Support incident resolution by analyzing logs, execution history, script errors, workflow behavior, and integration failures.

Team Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with NetSuite administrators, business analysts, QA engineers, integration engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver enterprise system enhancements.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, supply chain, customer service, warehouse, and eCommerce teams to understand business needs and translate them into system solutions.
• Communicate technical issues, risks, dependencies, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support junior team members when needed through knowledge sharing, documentation, and code review participation.
• Take ownership of assigned development tasks and deliver high-quality work within agreed timelines and priorities.

Required Qualifications

• 4-8 years of overall experience in NetSuite development, administration support, or enterprise application development, with strong hands-on NetSuite ERP experience.
• Hands-on expertise with SuiteScript 2.0/2.1, including User Event Scripts, Client Scripts, Scheduled Scripts, Map/Reduce Scripts, RESTlets, Suitelets, and workflow actions.
• Strong understanding of NetSuite customization capabilities including custom records, custom fields, custom forms, saved searches, workflows, dashboards, roles, permissions, and approval processes.
• Working knowledge of NetSuite core modules including financial management, inventory management, order management, procurement, fulfillment, invoicing, and supply chain processes.
• Experience supporting integrations using RESTlets, SuiteTalk, saved searches, CSV imports/exports, SuiteQL, APIs, or middleware platforms.
• Strong JavaScript skills and ability to debug, optimize, and maintain production-grade scripts.
• Good SQL/SuiteQL skills and experience with data analysis, data validation, and data transformation.
• Ability to troubleshoot NetSuite errors, script governance issues, workflow issues, data mismatches, integration failures, and user-reported system issues.
• Experience working with Git, SDF, SuiteBundler, or structured deployment and release management processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams, business functions, and time zones.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with NetSuite OneWorld, multi-subsidiary environments, intercompany processes, and global business operations.
• Experience with eCommerce integrations such as Shopify, Amazon, or marketplace platforms.
• Familiarity with Celigo, MuleSoft, Boomi, or other iPaaS platforms.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, EDI/SPS Commerce, 3PL/WMS integrations, or B2B order processing workflows.
• Experience with SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF), SuiteCloud IDE, SuiteAnalytics, Advanced PDF/HTML templates, or SuiteCommerce-related customizations.
• Experience participating in NetSuite implementation, migration, bundle upgrade, integration enhancement, or modernization initiatives.
• NetSuite certifications such as SuiteFoundation, Administrator, ERP Consultant, or SuiteCloud Developer are a plus.
• Experience with automation, monitoring, logging, or observability practices for enterprise systems.
