Teamware Solutions is seeking a skilled NetApp Storage Platform / Unix Administrator to manage and maintain our critical storage and Unix-based infrastructure. This role involves ensuring the high availability, performance, and security of our NetApp storage systems and Unix servers, providing essential support for our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- NetApp Storage Administration: Manage, configure, and maintain NetApp storage systems, including filers, volumes, aggregates, and LUNs.
- Unix Server Administration: Perform comprehensive administration of Unix/Linux servers, including installation, configuration, patching, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Data Management: Implement and manage data backup, recovery, and replication solutions for both NetApp storage and Unix environments.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor storage and server performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure efficient operation.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for issues related to NetApp storage, Unix operating systems, and associated services.
- Security Management: Implement and enforce security best practices for storage and Unix systems, ensuring data integrity and access control.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, including networking, database, and application teams, to ensure seamless integration and support for IT services.
- Capacity Planning: Assist in capacity planning for storage and server resources, forecasting future needs and recommending necessary upgrades.
- Automation: Explore and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline routine administration tasks.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in NetApp storage platform administration (e.g., ONTAP, SnapMirror, SnapVault).
- Strong expertise in Unix/Linux operating system administration (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
- Knowledge of storage protocols such as NFS, CIFS, Fibre Channel, and iSCSI.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python, Perl) for automation.
- Understanding of networking concepts relevant to storage and server connectivity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders
