Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled L3 Storage Engineer (NetApp) to join our infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will provide expert-level support for NetApp storage systems, manage complex incidents and problems, and work closely with architecture and engineering teams to optimize storage environments.

Location: Bengaluru

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the final point of escalation for NetApp storage-related issues (ONTAP 9.x and above).
  
  

• Perform root cause analysis and resolution for complex storage-related incidents.
  
  

• I Manage and maintain NetApp FAS/AFF systems, clusters, and SnapMirror/SnapVault configurations.
  
  

• Oversee storage provisioning, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
  
  

• Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution.
  
  

• Work with cross-functional teams to implement storage-related changes and improvements.
  
  

• Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and SOPs for storage infrastructure.
  
  

• Assist in firmware, OS upgrades, and patch management.
  
  

• Perform storage migration and integration tasks.
  
  

• Automate routine tasks using scripting (PowerShell, Python, etc.) as applicable.
  
  

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with NetApp ONTAP (9.x preferred), Clustered ONTAP, and NetApp System Manager.
  
  

• Experience with NetApp FAS/AFF series, SnapMirror, SnapVault, and SnapCenter.
  
  

• Solid understanding of SAN/NAS concepts, protocols (iSCSl, NFS, CIFS, FC).
  
  

• Knowledge of storage networking (Brocade/Cisco switches, zoning, multipathing).
  
  

• Familiarity with V/Jware, Windows/Linux OSes, and how they interact with storage.
  
  

• Ability to troubleshoot performance and capacity issues.
  
  

• Experience with backup and recovery solutions involving NetApp (e.g., Commvault, Veeam, or Rubrik).
