Job Title: NetApp Storage Administrator

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled NetApp Storage Administrator (L2) to manage, maintain, and support enterprise storage environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with NetApp storage systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to handle L2-level incidents, service requests, and operational tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and support NetApp storage systems (ONTAP-based systems including FAS/AFF).
Perform storage provisioning (volumes, LUNs, aggregates, CIFS/NFS shares).
Monitor storage performance, capacity, and availability.
Handle L2 incidents, service requests, and problem management.
Perform health checks, upgrades, and patching of storage systems.
Troubleshoot performance, connectivity, and hardware/software issues.
Work with L1 teams for issue escalation and provide resolution within SLA.
Configure and manage SnapMirror, SnapVault, and backup solutions.
Participate in DR drills and ensure replication readiness.
Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures.
Collaborate with server, network, and backup teams.
Ensure compliance with security and operational policies.
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with NetApp ONTAP (Clustered ONTAP preferred).
Knowledge of storage protocols: NFS, CIFS/SMB, iSCSI, FC.
Experience in storage provisioning and lifecycle management.
Understanding of RAID, aggregates, volumes, and snapshots.
Experience with SnapMirror, SnapVault, and replication technologies.
Familiarity with monitoring tools (Active IQ, OnCommand Unified Manager).
Basic knowledge of SAN and NAS environments.
Experience in incident, problem, and change management processes.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with cloud integrations (AWS/Azure NetApp solutions).
Knowledge of scripting (Shell, Python) for automation.
Familiarity with VMware environments and storage integration.
Exposure to ITIL processes.
NetApp certifications (e.g., NCDA, NCIE) are a plus.
Soft Skills:
Good communication and stakeholder management.
Ability to work in shifts and handle on-call support.
Strong documentation and reporting skills.
Team player with proactive problem-solving attitude.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Additional Information:
Willingness to work in a 24x7 support environment.
Experience in enterprise-level storage environments preferred.
