Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Cisco Voice Engineer - L3 to join our IT Infrastructure team. This role involves- designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-grade voice communication systems, with a strong focus on- Cisco technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience in client-facing roles with overseas clients and a proven- track record in proactive troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and voice system migrations and- implementations..
Job Type : Full-Time.
Shift : Remote work; may involve working in US shifts or overlapping hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain Cisco-based voice infrastructure, including CUCM, Unity, UCCX, SIP trunks,- and voice gateways.
- Lead and execute implementation and migration projects for Cisco voice systems.
- Troubleshoot complex voice issues, including call routing, voice quality, and system outages.
- Collaborate with network and system teams to ensure seamless integration of voice and data services.
- Lead L3 support efforts and mentor junior engineers in resolving escalated issues.
- Perform capacity planning, usage analysis, and infrastructure optimization.
- Maintain detailed documentation, including network diagrams, configuration files, and change logs.
- Implement voice-related security protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Support unified communications platforms (e.g., Cisco Webex, Microsoft Teams, Zoom).
- Work directly with overseas clients in client-facing roles, ensuring timely communication and delivery.
- Drive proactive troubleshooting and establish preventive maintenance matrices to ensure system reliability.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong expertise in Cisco voice technologies, including CUCM, Unity, UCCX, and SIP.
- Deep understanding of voice protocols such as SIP, RTP, H.323, and VoIP codecs.
- Proven experience in the implementation and migration of Cisco voice systems.
- Experience with voice monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark).
- Solid grasp of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, VLANs, and QoS strategies.
- Must have experience working with overseas clients in client-facing roles.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on proactive issue resolution and preventive maintenance.
