.NET Lead / Architect – Kafka

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced .NET Lead / Architect with strong hands-on development experience in .NET technologies and Apache Kafka. The ideal candidate should have expertise in designing, developing, and implementing scalable, event-driven applications, along with technical leadership, architecture design, and team management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-grade applications using .NET technologies and Apache Kafka.
• Design and implement event-driven architectures using Kafka for real-time data processing and asynchronous communication.
• Provide technical leadership to development teams, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Design scalable, secure, and high-performance application architectures and integration solutions.
• Develop and maintain applications using C#, .NET Core / .NET, ASP.NET Web API, and SQL Server.
• Implement Kafka producers, consumers, topics, partitions, consumer groups, and message-processing mechanisms.
• Integrate Kafka with .NET applications, databases, APIs, and enterprise systems.
• Troubleshoot application and messaging issues, optimize performance, and ensure reliability.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, DevOps, and cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions.
• Drive technical discussions, document architecture and design decisions, and mentor developers.
• Support deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of applications across environments.

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in C#, .NET Core / .NET, and ASP.NET Web API.
• Extensive experience in Apache Kafka development and integration with .NET applications.
• Strong understanding of Kafka producers, consumers, topics, partitions, consumer groups, offsets, and message delivery.
• Experience in event-driven architecture, asynchronous processing, and distributed systems.
• Strong experience with REST APIs, microservices, and system integration.
• Proficiency in SQL Server, SQL queries, stored procedures, and database integration.
• Experience in application architecture, design patterns, coding standards, and performance optimization.
• Proven experience in technical leadership, solution design, code reviews, and mentoring development teams.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Azure cloud services and Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of Kafka monitoring, schema management, and message serialization formats such as Avro, JSON, or Protobuf.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments.
• Knowledge of distributed tracing, logging, fault tolerance, retry mechanisms, and dead-letter queues.
• Experience with enterprise integration patterns and high-volume transaction processing.
