About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer specialized in Azure cloud services and backend development to join our dynamic team at UST. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based applications and workflows, primarily utilizing Azure Functions, Durable Functions, and related Azure services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on enterprise-grade solutions, implementing scalable and resilient cloud workflows, integrating various systems, and optimizing performance. The candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, architects, and QA, to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business requirements.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background with proven experience in cloud-native application development, particularly within the Azure ecosystem. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect are advantageous. Candidates must demonstrate hands-on experience with C# and .NET frameworks, Azure Functions, Durable Functions, and Azure SQL. Strong knowledge of Redis caching, security best practices, DevOps pipelines, and monitoring tools is essential. Additionally, familiarity with integration protocols, batch processing, and data modeling will be highly valued. Excellent problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment are crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain serverless applications and workflows using Azure Functions and Durable Functions, including orchestrator and activity functions.
• Implement and optimize backend services leveraging C# and .NET technologies to ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Manage and optimize Azure SQL Database, including writing advanced T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models to support application requirements.
• Develop and maintain caching strategies using Azure Cache for Redis, ensuring data consistency and optimal performance.
• Integrate various Azure services such as API Management, Key Vault, and Managed Identity for secure and seamless system interactions.
• Implement security best practices, including secure service-to-service communication and data encryption.
• Automate deployment, testing, and monitoring processes using Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous integration and delivery.
• Monitor application health and performance using Application Insights and Log Analytics, troubleshooting issues proactively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality software within project timelines.
• Contribute to documentation, code reviews, and knowledge sharing to foster team growth and best practices adherence.
• Support integration with legacy systems and handle large-volume batch/file processing as needed.
