Experience Required

  • 9+ years of overall IT experience
  • 5+ years in DevOps / Cloud Engineering roles
  • 2+ years in technical leadership or architect-level role

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Lead to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure for modern microservices applications on Kubernetes Platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Good understanding of cloud infrastructure and enterprise network architectures (hub-and-spoke, hybrid cloud, private cloud).
  • Architect and manage highly scalable, secure, and resilient distributed systems.
  • Drive infrastructure provisioning and automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Preferably, hands-on experience with Terraform.
  • Oversee Kubernetes platform operations and container orchestration across environments.
  • Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines, release strategies, and branching models.
  • Implement and enforce DevSecOps practices, including security scanning, compliance, and remediation.
  • Ensure high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity planning.
  • Collaborate with development teams to support microservices and event-driven architectures.
  • Provide operational support at the infrastructure level, including monitoring, incident management, and performance optimization.
  • Mentor team members and drive best practices in DevOps, automation, and cloud governance.
  • Managing stakeholders and collaborating with cross-functional teams and architects to align solutions with enterprise standards.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrate strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and enterprise network design including VPCs, subnets, routing, and hub-and-spoke architectures.
  • Implement and manage identity and access control using AWS IAM, Azure Entra ID, SSO, and OAuth2/OpenID Connect.
  • Manage and operate Kubernetes workloads (EKS, AKS, or GKE), including scaling, deployments, and troubleshooting.
  • Utilize Helm for Kubernetes package management and configure ingress controllers (NGINX, NLB, etc.).
  • Build and manage containerized applications using Docker and follow container security best practices.
  • Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform with strong understanding of reusable modules and state management.
  • Apply DevSecOps practices using tools like Checkmarx and Wiz, including implementing SAST and DAST pipelines.
  • Enforce code quality and security gates using SonarQube.
  • Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (preferred) or equivalent tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
  • Define and implement branching strategies and release management processes (GitFlow, trunk-based development).
  • Work with cloud-native services such as Amazon EKS, API Gateway, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, Amazon MQ, or equivalent services across other cloud platforms.
  • Design and support microservices and event-driven architectures with secure communication patterns.
  • Architect systems for high scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery with defined RTO/RPO.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, LGTM, ELK, CloudWatch, etc.).
  • Perform infrastructure-level operational support including incident management, root cause analysis, and performance tuning.

Nice to Have

  • Hold relevant certifications such as AWS/Azure/GCP certifications or Kubernetes certifications (CKA/CKAD).
  • Implement service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd for traffic management and security.
  • Perform remediation of CVE findings identified through Wiz scans, including prioritization, patching, and validation of fixes across cloud and container environments.
  • Apply FinOps practices for cloud cost optimization and resource efficiency.

  • Drive decision-making with a problem-solving mindset and ownership attitude.
  • Adapt quickly in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities.
