Reporting To: Assistant Manager – Ex Hub Production, SS Steel Cell

Job Location: Plant 01, Pirangut

Qualification: Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 3–6 years of relevant experience in nesting, sheet metal design, and related manufacturing processes

Work Days:6 Days a week.

Job Summary

We are looking for an Engineer – Nesting & Process with hands-on experience in sheet metal design, CAD/3D modeling, nesting support, and new product development.

The candidate should possess strong knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes, blank development, laser cutting support, and production coordination. The role requires close collaboration with Production, Planning, and Quality teams to ensure eAicient and accurate manufacturing execution.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare sheet metal designs and unfold (blank) developments as per manufacturing requirements.

· Create and modify CAD/3D models based on project specifications.

· Generate DXF files, nesting files, and production-related documentation.

· Support nesting programming and coordinate with production teams.

· Work on enclosure design and sheet metal fabrication projects.

· Coordinate with Production, Planning, and Quality departments for smooth project execution.

· Handle New Product Development (NPD) activities from design stage to production release.

· Support production trials and implement necessary design modifications.

· Maintain engineering documentation, drawings, and revision control records.

· Ensure manufacturing feasibility considering bending, welding, and fabrication requirements.

· Support CNC laser cutting-related activities.

· Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.

Required Skills

· Strong knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes.

· Experience in nesting and blank development preparation.

· Proficiency in CAD/3D modeling software.

· Understanding of CNC laser cutting technology.

· Good knowledge of fabrication, bending, and welding processes.

· Strong coordination and communication skills.

· Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Ability to work eAectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Industry Background Candidates from mid-sized sheet metal manufacturing companies will be preferred.
