Job Overview

We are seeking a Junior Nephrologist to join our dynamic team at Spandana Hospital in Bangalore. This is a full-time position ideal for professionals with 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in nephrology. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care, focusing on a broad spectrum of kidney-related illnesses and treatments in a collaborative clinical environment.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Comprehensive experience in patient assessment to identify symptoms, risk factors, and develop treatment plans (Mandatory skill).
  • In-depth knowledge and practical expertise in managing chronic kidney disease, adhering to latest protocols and guidelines (Mandatory skill).
  • Proficiency in peritoneal dialysis procedures, including patient selection, catheter placement, and complication management (Mandatory skill).
  • Working knowledge of hemodialysis processes, equipment handling, and the ability to supervise treatment sessions for diverse patient profiles.
  • Ability to perform renal biopsy, interpret results, and integrate findings with patient management strategies.
  • Experience in diagnosing and managing acute kidney injury, initiating timely intervention, and monitoring patient progress.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal abilities to ensure seamless interaction with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Dedication to continuous medical education, adopting evidence-based practices, and leveraging technology for superior patient care outcomes.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive consultations, diagnose renal disorders, and design patient-specific management plans.
  • Supervise and perform procedures such as peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis, ensuring patient safety and efficacy.
  • Manage chronic kidney disease cases and coordinate with other specialists for holistic patient care.
  • Identify and treat acute kidney injury promptly to minimize adverse outcomes.
  • Perform renal biopsies, interpret pathological findings, and communicate results to patients and medical teams.
  • Educate patients and their families about the disease process, treatment modalities, diet, and lifestyle changes.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, ensure compliance with hospital policies, and participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Stay updated with advancements in nephrology, participate in departmental meetings, and contribute to ongoing training sessions.
