Consultant Neonatologist / NICU Clinical Lead

Location: Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: ₹3,00,000 per month (Commensurate with experience and qualifications, can also exceed with experience and exposure)

About the Opportunity

Access to top-tier neonatal care should not be dictated by geography. We are partnering with a leading, rapidly expanding healthcare facility in Nandyal to establish and lead a state-of-the-art Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Powered by a collaborative, tech-enabled clinical model, the Consultant Neonatologist will lead on-ground NICU operations while working in seamless integration with a remote command center of senior specialists. This is a unique opportunity to drive evidence-based protocols, reduce neonatal mortality, and build specialist capacity in an emerging healthcare hub.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Leadership: Serve as the primary bedside clinical authority for the NICU, managing high-acuity neonatal patients, extremely premature infants, and complex congenital conditions.
  • Advanced Procedural Execution: Perform and supervise critical neonatal interventions including endotracheal intubation, surfactant administration, UVC/UAC line placement, PICC lines, exchange transfusions, and lumbar punctures.
  • Ventilatory Management: Manage advanced neonatal respiratory support, including CPAP, high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV), and conventional mechanical ventilation.
  • Tech-Enabled Collaboration: Conduct daily structured rounds and collaborate with the remote Command Center team to ensure strict adherence to standardized clinical pathways and quality metrics.
  • Mentorship & Governance: Train, mentor, and guide on-ground pediatric medical officers and NICU nursing staff. Drive infection control protocols and clinical audits.
  • Family Counseling: Conduct empathetic, structured counseling sessions with parents regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and prognosis.
Qualifications & Clinical Profile

  • Baseline Qualification: MD or DNB in Pediatrics from a recognized institution.
  • Super-Specialization: DM, DrNB, or FNB in Neonatology. (Candidates with recognized IAP Fellowships in Neonatology and strong independent NICU experience will also be considered).
  • Experience: 0 to 5 years of post-super-specialization experience in a Level III NICU setup. Fresh DM/DrNB/FNB graduates with rigorous residency training are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Licensure: Active registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the respective State Medical Council.
