Motor HIL Test Engineer (Power Electronics & Drives)
Key Responsibilities
• HIL System Development: Design and configure HIL test benches using NI VeriStand and Opal-RT/Typhoon HIL hardware to simulate electric motor dynamics and power electronics.
• Test Automation: Create, maintain, and execute automated test suites using ECU-TEST to validate functional requirements, diagnostic services, and fault injection scenarios.
• Analysis & Reporting: Analyze test logs and high-speed data captures to identify software bugs or hardware-in-the-loop discrepancies. Generate comprehensive validation reports for stakeholders.
Domain knowledge
Required Skills & Qualifications
• HIL Platforms: Proven experience with NI VeriStand and real-time simulators such as Opal-RT (RT-LAB) or Typhoon HIL.
• Automation Tools: Expertise in ECU-TEST for automated test sequence generation.
• Communication Protocols: Deep understanding of automotive communication protocols, specifically CAN/CAN-FD, and experience with vector tools (CANalyzer, CANoe).
• Motor Control Theory: Strong grasp of electric motor fundamentals, including 3-phase inverter topologies.
• Programming: Proficiency in Python for scripting and test automation enhancement.

Qualification
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Power Electronics, or a related field
