Requirement for native Korean functional tester (not translators)
Resource Requirement
- A qualified resource should:Be a native with reading and comprehension skills of the Japanese/Korean language
- Have the knowledge of relevance of Culturalization in software testingBe an experienced Software Functional tester (5+ years exp) with manual testing experience
- It s difficult to embed functional testing mindset in a linguistic reviewer
- Have the ability to communicate in English verbally and in written
- Have strong knowledge of Japanese/Korean text composition layout features for publishing workflows, Japanese/Korean typography and fonts
- Have the ability to learn and adapt to operational tools
- Have an inquiring mindset with attention to details
- Have working knowledge of Adobe products like InDesign Illustrator (Japanese/Korean locales)Testing
Requirements:
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies and terminology
- Ability to understand the feature description for a new feature or enhancement of existing feature
- Test plan creation based on provided criterion covering the Japanese/Korean impact
- Test case creation and management
- Scoping out the G11N (Globalization) and L10N (Localization) testing requirements
- Reporting, tracking defects as per guidelines
- Test execution planning to meet strict and constrained deadlines
- Status reporting as per requirements
- Creating quality metric reports for review
- Expectation is NOT to find linguistic issues as primary focus area
