You will be part of our Finance team, adding your expertise + operational skills to the delivery of Customer + Operational Excellence.
Your primary objective is to support the Direct tax team with all activities across your area of responsibility while ensuring accuracy, completeness &timeliness of all relevant tax compliance tasks & processes.
How you create impact
Direct Tax Compliances
- To perform TDS/TCS related compliances, filing of TDS/TCS returns
- To work on tax computation and filing of Income Tax Return for Indian entity and its overseas group entities
- To support in other Direct tax compliances like Advance tax computation, filing of SFT return, Tax Audit report etc.
- To support in Transfer Pricing Compliances and maintenance of Transfer Pricing Documentation
- To ensure reconciliation of TDS credit as per books and as per Form 26AS
Direct Tax Litigation
- To support in preparation and filing of reply to litigation notices including assessment notices, appeals, DRP proceedings and rectification matters
- To support in Transfer Pricing Assessments
- To support in compilation of data from internal stakeholders for submission before tax authorities
- Appear before tax authorities, deal with consultants, etc.
Direct Tax Advisory
- To advise on the TDS / withholding tax rates on transactions with local / overseas vendors and customers
- To provide tax-related advice on day-to-day operational activities & respond promptly to queries raised by stakeholders.
- To perform review and analysis of DTAA of India with relevant country for advising on withholding tax rates on overseas remittances
- To advise team on relevant changes / amendments in Direct tax Laws
Others
- To support team in following up for Income Tax refunds due / giving effect to the order of tax proceedings
- To support implementation of tax automation projects in collaboration with corporate financial information systems team.
- To support in compilation and preparation of data for Statutory / Internal Audit and to resolve their queries.
Requirement
- Preferably a Chartered Accountant (CA) working exclusively in Direct Tax Domain
- Professional Experience: Qualified CA with 1-3 years of post-qualification experience in Direct taxation (experience in Direct taxation during articleship will be added advantage).
- Strong hold in excel and power point, and willing to work in different ERP.
- Should have good interpersonal, communication & analytical skills.
What we would like you to bring
- Qualified CA with strong focus in Direct Tax.
- 1-2 years post-qualification experience in Direct Tax.
- Articleship from Big 4/Big 10 preferred.
- Experience in MNC/corporate tax environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TDS/TCS and income tax compliance.
- Exposure to tax filing, advisory, and litigation support.
- Experience supporting tax audits (internal/statutory).
- Transfer pricing knowledge is an added advantage.
- Good Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP working skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
