Job Description

Job Title: National Sales Manager – Vitamin K2

Location: Bengaluru

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Manager to drive the growth and market penetration of their Vitamin K2 portfolio across India.

The role will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing key customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving revenue targets within the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical & functional food sector.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in B2B ingredient sales, a solid understanding of the nutraceutical &/or biotech industry, and the ability to engage with decision-makers across product development, procurement, marketing, and business leadership functions.

This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical understanding, relationship management, and commercial acumen to position the company's Vitamin K2 solutions as a preferred choice.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales Growth

  • Develop and execute a Pan-India sales strategy for the Vitamin K2 product portfolio.
  • Build and execute regional sales strategies aligned with annual business objectives.
  • Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities across:
  • Nutraceutical manufacturers
  • Pharmaceutical companies
  • Functional food and beverage companies
  • Animal nutrition and feed manufacturers
  • Contract manufacturers (CMOs/CDMOs)
  • Achieve quarterly & annual sales revenue, volume, and profitability targets.

Key Account Management

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as Procurement Heads, Product Teams, and Business Unit Heads, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Manage strategic customer accounts and negotiate commercial agreements.

Market Intelligence

  • Analyze industry trends, the competitive landscape, customer requirements, and emerging opportunities.
  • Monitor developments in the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, and biotech sectors relevant to Vitamin K2.
  • Generate market intelligence and provide insights for business planning, identifying opportunities for portfolio expansion and cross-selling of related ingredients.

Technical & Commercial Support

  • Collaborate with technical, regulatory, marketing, and product management teams to support customer requirements.
  • Present product benefits, scientific data, application opportunities, and value propositions to customers.
  • Coordinate sample requests, technical documentation, and regulatory information.
  • Support customers during product evaluation, formulation trials, and commercialization stages.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for forecasting, inventory planning, and sales reporting.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Maintain sales forecasts, CRM updates, pipeline reports, and customer records.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical business practices.

Industry Engagement

  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and exhibitions.
  • Build relationships with industry influencers, consultants, and key opinion leaders.
  • Promote brand visibility and strengthen market presence across India.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a comparable role & organization selling Vitamin K2 is highly desirable.
  • BSc/MSc in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • 3–10 years of relevant experience in B2B product sales roles.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing large territories; experience handling Pan-India sales operations is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication, ownership, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

  • Existing network within nutraceutical & pharmaceutical industries.
  • Experience developing/working with distributors and channel partners across India.
  • Experience selling fermentation-based nutraceutical ingredients.
  • MBA in Sales/Marketing is an added advantage.
