Job Purpose

To lead, standardize, and scale cardiac sciences programs across the Apollo Hospitals network by integrating clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and strategic growth initiatives, while ensuring optimal patient outcomes and financial performance.

  • Program Strategy & Growth

Develop and execute national strategy for Cardiac SciencesEstablish and Advance Centers of Excellence (CoEs) across key geographiesScale advanced cardiac programs (TAVR, LVAD, complex PCI, EP programs, MICS and Robotics)Drive network-wide growth in cardiac volumes and case complexity

  • Clinical Governance & Outcomes

Standardize evidence-based clinical protocols across all unitsMonitor and improve:Mortality and complication ratesDoor-to-balloon time (STEMI care)Readmission ratesImplement national cardiac outcomes registry and benchmarking

  • Operational Excellence

Drive efficiency across cath labs, cardiac OTs, and ICUsOptimize:Cath lab utilizationOT utilization (CTVS)Average Length of Stay (ALOS)Ensure adherence to defined clinical pathways and protocols

  • Financial Performance

Improve contribution margins across cardiac proceduresEnsure package adherence and reduce revenue leakageEnhance revenue per cath lab / OT

  • Cardiac Implant & Device Program

Lead national strategy for:Coronary stents, Structural heart devices, Electrophysiology devicesEstablish vendor partnerships and contracting frameworksEvaluate and introduce new technologies

  • Stakeholder Management

Align internal stakeholders: Interventional Cardiologists, Electrophysiologists, CTVS SurgeonsBuild strong engagement with: External referring cardiologists, Industry partners and device companiesPromote Heart Team approach for complex casesCardiac Advisory Council

  • Network Development

Strengthen hub-and-spoke referral networksBuild regional cardiac clusters across IndiaIncrease cross-referrals within Apollo network

  • Quality & Accreditation

Drive continuous quality improvement initiativesSupport audit readiness and accreditation processes

  • Training & Capability Building

Develop fellowship and training programsConduct CMEs, workshops, and simulation-based trainingBuild leadership pipeline in cardiac sciences

  • Digital & Innovation Initiatives

Implement cardiac registries and performance dashboardsEnable tele-cardiology and remote monitoring solutionsSupport adoption of AI-driven clinical decision tools

  • Qualifications & Experience

10+ years in cardiac sciences

Minimum 5 years in program leadership / multi-unit / multi-facility management

Experience In

High-volume tertiary/quaternary hospitalsCardiac implant programs and cath lab operationsExposure to Indian healthcare ecosystem (mandatory)International exposure (preferred)
