National Head Business Development
Location: Delhi or Mumbai, India
Function: Business Development / Commercial
Reporting To: Senior Management
Role Overview
The National Head Business Development will be responsible for building and scaling institutional business for Stemz across India, with particular focus on national accounts, diplomatic and government-linked relationships, insurers, large employers, recruitment organisations, education-sector partners and other strategic institutions.
The role requires a senior commercial professional with an established network and the ability to originate, develop and convert complex institutional opportunities. Particular importance will be placed on relationships with foreign embassies, consulates, diplomatic missions and institutions involved in migration and visa-related healthcare programmes, as well as leading insurance and corporate organisations.
The person will work closely with Centre Business Development teams to generate opportunities that can create business across multiple Stemz centres and support the growth of the wider India network. This reflects the National BD mandate to develop national recruiter, employer, insurer, education and corporate relationships, pursue embassy and panel opportunities, and bring multi-centre accounts.
The role will carry defined revenue and profitability targets, with performance-linked payouts. As the business expands, strong performers may progress into international and global business development roles.
Key Responsibilities
This is a senior, target-driven commercial role with defined revenue and profitability expectations.
Compensation will include performance-linked payouts based on commercial results, including revenue generated, profitability, institutional relationships activated and recurring business created.
The role is expected to grow in scope as the business expands. Strong performers may progress from leading India-wide business development to taking on broader international and global business development responsibilities, including strategic partnerships, destination-country programmes and multi-country opportunities.

- National Business Development
- Own development of major national and multi-centre business opportunities.
- Build and convert a strong pipeline of institutional accounts capable of generating recurring revenue across the Stemz network.
- Develop relationships with large employers, recruitment and manpower organisations, education groups, insurers, corporates and other strategic institutions.
- Deliver agreed revenue and profitability targets while maintaining a strong forward pipeline.
- Embassy, Consulate & Strategic Relationships
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with foreign embassies, consulates, diplomatic missions and relevant government-linked stakeholders.
- Identify and pursue opportunities relating to visa medicals, designated medical programmes, panel empanelments and other migration-health requirements.
- Lead relationship development, presentations, submissions and commercial engagement for relevant opportunities.
- Coordinate internally with Clinical, Quality, Operations, Legal and other teams to support institutional and empanelment requirements.
- Institutional Partnerships
- Build senior relationships with insurance companies and develop opportunities relating to underwriting medicals, pre-policy medicals and other relevant medical services.
- Develop national relationships with employers, recruitment organisations, education institutions and other groups capable of generating business across multiple centres.
- Structure pilots, partnerships, commercial agreements and national account arrangements.
- Identify and develop anchor relationships capable of generating meaningful recurring business.
- Commercial Leadership & Centre Support
- Work closely with Centre BD Managers to translate national relationships into local case volumes and revenue.
- Lead or support major commercial proposals, tenders, empanelments and institutional presentations.
- Maintain visibility of national pipeline, conversions, revenue and profitability through disciplined CRM and reporting.
- Support commercial preparation for new centres by developing institutional demand and national relationships that can be leveraged across the network.

- Significant experience in senior business development, institutional sales, strategic partnerships or key-account acquisition.
- Demonstrated ability to originate and convert large institutional opportunities.
- Strong existing network with relevant senior decision-makers across India.
- Ability to engage credibly with embassies, consulates, diplomatic missions, government-linked organisations and large institutions.
- Strong commercial orientation and comfort working against revenue and profitability targets.
- Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, formal submissions and senior-level negotiations.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate across functions and multiple operating locations.
- Willingness to travel extensively within India and internationally when required.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Preference will be given to candidates who:
- Have an active and demonstrable network within foreign embassies, consulates and diplomatic missions in India.
- Have recently originated or converted business involving visa medicals, healthcare programmes, government-linked programmes, empanelments or institutional healthcare contracts.
- Have strong relationships with insurance companies and senior insurance-sector decision-makers.
- Bring relevant connections with major recruiters, manpower organisations, employers, education groups or corporates.
- Can demonstrate relationships or opportunities that could reasonably translate into business for Stemz in the short term.
- Have experience developing national or multi-location accounts rather than only local business.
- Have built new institutional revenue channels from the ground up.
- Have experience in healthcare, diagnostics, medical screening, insurance, migration services or adjacent sectors.
