MYSQL DBA

1. Technical knowledge in database development methodologies, design and implementation and basic database administration skills/experience (procedures for change control, test and production release).

2. 7+ years Database Administration experience

3. Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

4. Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.

5. Knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery options for database technologies.

6. Experience migrating on-prem environments to public cloud (Azure-preferred)

7. Knowledge of best practices in the areas of application design, performance, security, scalability and maintainability

8. Excellent analytical and design skills. Good skills in research and analysis, project planning and implementation. Excellent understanding of entire development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance. An awareness of business issues as they impact overall project plans is necessary

• Demonstrated a good understanding of core technical concepts in MySQL database development methodologies, design, and implementation.
• Proficient in Performance Tuning and Optimization using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Good knowledge on the backups, restores and recovery models. Relevant experience on database disaster recovery model.
• Good hands-on experience on migrating the data from on-premises to AWS cloud platform services.
• Explains good logical and analytical thinking to troubleshoot problems.
