Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic MYP Physics Teacher to deliver engaging, inquiry-based learning aligned with the IB Middle Years Programme. The ideal candidate will foster conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and real-world application of physics concepts among students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Physics lessons in line with the IB MYP framework
- Design inquiry-driven, interdisciplinary units integrating global contexts
- Develop formative and summative assessments aligned with MYP criteria
- Encourage scientific thinking, experimentation, and problem-solving skills
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Integrate technology and lab-based learning into the curriculum
- Support students academic and personal development through mentoring
- Participate in curriculum planning, school events, and professional development programs
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-disciplinary learning
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in Physics or related field
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience in IB MYP or international curriculum preferred
- Strong understanding of inquiry-based and concept-driven teaching
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to integrate technology into teaching practices
- Passion for student-centered learning and innovation
Experience:
- 2–5 years of teaching experience (IB experience preferred)
