Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Language and Literature Facilitator to teach across the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). The role involves fostering critical thinking, communication skills, and a deep appreciation for literature in alignment with IB philosophy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons for MYP (Years 15) and DP Language & Literature.
- Design unit planners aligned with IB frameworks, including inquiry-based learning and global contexts.
- Prepare students for DP assessments, including Internal Assessments (IA) and external examinations.
- Guide students in textual analysis, comparative studies, and written/oral communication.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide timely feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and interdisciplinary learning.
- Participate in IB authorization and evaluation processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in English or related field.
- IB MYP and/or DP teaching experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of IB pedagogy and assessment practices.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to mentor and inspire students.
