Designation: Music Teacher (Vocal) & SUPW Teacher
Reporting To: Academic Coordinator / Principal
To impart quality instruction in
vocal music and
SUPW (Socially Useful Productive Work), fostering students artistic expression, life skills, creativity, discipline, and holistic development in line with ICSE & CBSE co-scholastic guidelines.
- Key Responsibilities
- Music (Vocal)
Teach
Indian vocal music (classical/light/folk as applicable) across assigned classes
Conduct
voice training, riyaz, tala, and sur practice
Prepare students for
school assemblies, events, competitions, and annual functions
Maintain
lesson plans, practice schedules, and assessment records
Assess students on
participation, skill development, rhythm, pitch, and performance
Ensure proper care and use of musical instruments and audio equipment
- SUPW (Socially Useful Productive Work)
Plan And Conduct SUPW Activities Such As
Art & craft
Paper work, clay work, stitching, best-out-of-waste
Community-oriented and skill-based activities
Integrate
life skills, teamwork, creativity, and responsibility into lessons
Maintain
SUPW activity files, portfolios, and records as per board norms
Organize
exhibitions, displays, and project presentations
Ensure
safety and discipline during practical activities
- Academic & Administrative Duties
Prepare
annual and term-wise lesson plans
Maintain
attendance, assessment, and progress records
Participate in
staff meetings, training programs, and school events
Support
interdisciplinary and co-curricular activities
Follow school policies, child safety norms, and code of conduct
Continuous and comprehensive evaluation as per
ICSE guidelines
Maintain
grade sheets, remarks, and student portfolios
Provide feedback to students and parents when required
Bachelor's / Diploma in
Music (Vocal) from a recognized institution
Certification or demonstrable experience in
SUPW / Art & Craft / Work Education
Prior teaching experience in a
ICSE school will be an advantage
Strong vocal proficiency and stage performance skills
Ability to engage students across age groups
Creativity, patience, and classroom management skills
Good communication and teamwork
Basic knowledge of
board documentation and assessment procedures
Student participation and skill improvement
Quality of performances and SUPW outputs
Timely completion of documentation and records
Professional conduct and collaboration
