JOB DESCRIPTION

Vortexsoft Innovations Private Limited is looking for talented and musically skilled professionals to join our team on a contract basis. We are seeking candidates with strong music theory knowledge, harmonic understanding, rhythmic accuracy, and practical instrumental ability.

The candidate should be comfortable analyzing and working with musical content, including chords, melodies, rhythms, sheet music, lead sheets, and timecode-based annotations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze chords, harmonies, melodies, rhythms, and musical structures

• Work with chord charts, lead sheets, sheet music, and musical notation

• Perform accurate music transcription and annotation

• Create, arrange, or produce musical content as required

• Use DAWs for music production, editing, and arrangement

• Provide accurate timecode-based music annotations

• Demonstrate strong listening, pitch, rhythm, and timing skills

• Maintain accuracy and quality across assigned projects

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Strong knowledge of music theory and harmony

• Good understanding of chords, chord progressions, scales, intervals, rhythm, and musical structure

• Experience with music transcription or annotation

• Proficiency in at least one instrument such as Guitar, Piano, Keyboard, or another musical instrument

• Familiarity with DAWs such as Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Cubase, Pro Tools, FL Studio, or similar

• Strong listening and musical identification skills

• Good rhythmic and timing accuracy

IMPORTANT

Genuine musical ability is essential for this position.

Basic knowledge of major and minor chords alone is not sufficient. Candidates should have strong music theory knowledge, harmonic understanding, practical instrumental ability, and the ability to accurately analyze musical content.

SELECTION PROCESS

Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a short music assessment covering:

• Chord identification

• Sheet music and music theory

• Rhythmic understanding

• Musical listening and analysis

• Precise timecode annotation
