Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a technically strong and solution-driven Murex MxML Specialist to develop and support integration interfaces within the Murex platform. The role focuses on MxML workflows, interface configurations, real-time/batch messaging, and integration with upstream/downstream systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in end-to-end trade processing and Murex XML schema development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain MxML interfaces for trade booking, market data, static data, payments, and reporting.
  • Configure MxML Exchange workflows (inbound/outbound), including pre/post processing and validation rules.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of interfaces: requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Work with XML/XSLT, Murex Datamodel, dictionaries, and static data mappings.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot MxML processing issues (real-time and batch), including message failures and delays.
  • Interface with internal teams (FO/MO/BO), external vendors, and infrastructure groups to manage data flows and message delivery.
  • Support system upgrades, data migrations, and interface regression testing.
  • Maintain interface documentation, schemas, and workflow diagrams.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Murex MxML Exchange (Murex 3.x).
  • Deep understanding of MxML messaging, workflow configurations, gateways, and integration topologies.
  • Proficient in XML, XSLT, and scripting languages (Shell, Python or Perl). Good knowledge of Murex data model (trades, products, events, static/reference data).
  • Familiarity with message queues (e.g., IBM MQ, Solace), FTP/SFTP, SOAP/REST APIs.
  • Strong SQL and Oracle knowledge for data validation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with messaging formats like FpML, SWIFT, and custom schemas.
  • Solid understanding of trade lifecycle processes and front-to-back system integrations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to financial products: FX, IRD, Credit, Equities, Fixed Income.
  • Experience with Murex upgrade projects, especially migration of MxML interfaces.
  • Working knowledge of Control-M/Autosys or other job schedulers.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Ansible) is a plus.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
