Role Description
We are looking for an experienced
Murex Back Office / Settlement Business Analyst to join the team of a leading UK based bank. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of settlement processes and hands-on experience with regulatory changes impacting Back Office operations, including settlements and confirmations. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors to ensure smooth implementation and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between Back Office operations and technology teams for Murex-related projects.
- Analyze, document, and validate business requirements related to settlements, confirmations, and regulatory compliance.
- Configure and test Murex Back Office workflows, ensuring accurate settlement and confirmation processes.
- Support implementation of regulatory changes (e.g., EMIR, MiFID, Dodd-Frank) within Back Office and settlement modules.
- Collaborate with QA teams to design and execute test cases for settlement and confirmation processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to trade settlement, payment instructions, and confirmation matching.
- Provide subject matter expertise on Murex Back Office functionalities and best practices.
- Prepare functional documentation, training materials, and assist in user acceptance testing (UAT).
Required Skills & Experience
- 58 years of experience as a Business Analyst in capital markets or treasury environments.
- Strong knowledge of Murex Back Office modules, including settlement and confirmation workflows.
- Solid understanding of settlement processes across multiple asset classes (FX, derivatives, fixed income).
- Hands-on experience implementing regulatory changes impacting Back Office operations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
