Software Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Murex Accounting modules (general ledger, sub‑ledger, reconciliation).
- Proficiency in configuring accounting rules and posting workflows.
- Hands‑on experience with MxML Exchange, Datamart, and reconciliation tools.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, SQL, Shell).
- Exposure to integration with external accounting systems (SAP, Oracle Financials).
Overall Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert for Murex Accounting implementations and support.
- Liaise with Finance and Operations teams to gather requirements and translate into technical solutions.
- Configure, test, and deploy accounting rules and workflows.
- Provide production support, troubleshoot accounting issues, and ensure compliance with financial reporting standards.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Front Office, Back Office, Risk, Technical).
Technical Skills
- Accounting Rules: Setup of posting rules, accruals, amortization, and adjustments.
- General Ledger Integration: Mapping, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Reconciliation: Automated reconciliation processes, exception handling.
- Datamart & Reporting: Accounting extracts, dashboards, and audit reports.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of hands‑on Murex Accounting consulting.
- Prior exposure to financial institutions, preferably in capital markets.
- Experience in end‑to‑end Murex implementation projects.
Day-to-Day Activity
- Configure accounting rules and validate posting workflows.
- Monitor and support daily accounting processes and reconciliations.
- Troubleshoot accounting issues and coordinate with technical teams for resolution.
- Conduct UAT with Finance users and provide training/documentation.
- Participate in design discussions, audits, and performance tuning.
Qualification & Soft Skills
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Team player with proactive attitude and attention to detail.
