Role Description The Multi-Technician is a full-time, on-site role based at Hotel Sahara Star in Mumbai. This role is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and basic HVAC systems. The Multi-Technician responds to maintenance requests, troubleshoots and repairs equipment, and ensures all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in line with hotel standards. The role involves conducting regular inspections, documenting work performed, coordinating with other departments to minimize guest disruption, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental guidelines. The Multi-Technician also supports special projects and events setup, ensuring technical and maintenance needs are met in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications

• Solid hands-on skills in general maintenance, including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC tasks.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, testing instruments, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills for resolving maintenance issues promptly.
• Knowledge of building systems, safety standards, and preventive maintenance practices in a hotel or similar environment.
• Good communication skills to interact with team members and guests in a courteous, professional manner.
• Ability to work in shifts, respond to emergencies, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant technical qualification or ITI/diploma in electrical, mechanical, or related trade preferred.
• Prior experience in hotel engineering, facilities maintenance, or building services is an advantage.
