Job Title: Healthcare Integration Engineer Salesforce, HL7 & FHIR Location: Chennai / Hyderabad / Bengaluru / Pune Job Type: Contract 6 Months Experience Required: 5+ Years Job Description We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Integration Engineer with strong expertise in Salesforce integrations, HL7/FHIR interoperability, middleware platforms, and real-time event-driven architectures. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting integrations for a Salesforce-based Bed Board Management solution integrated with EHR systems such as Epic Systems, Oracle Cerner, and Athenahealth. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with healthcare interoperability standards, middleware technologies, and real-time messaging systems to enable seamless patient flow and bed management operations. Key Responsibilities Integration Architecture & Development
- Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and EHR systems
- Develop real-time integration solutions using event-driven architecture
- Build scalable and secure API integrations using REST/SOAP services
- Work on API-led connectivity and middleware orchestration
HL7 & FHIR Integrations
- Develop and support HL7 v2 ADT integrations (A01, A03, A08, A11)
- Build FHIR API integrations for resources such as Patient, Encounter, Practitioner, and Location
- Parse, transform, validate, and route HL7 messages
- Perform HL7 JSON Salesforce object transformations
Middleware Development
- Develop integrations using middleware platforms such as:
- Configure message queues, topics, retry mechanisms, and transformation logic
- Implement robust error handling and reconciliation processes
Salesforce Integration Enablement
- Integrate Salesforce using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, and Change Data Capture (CDC)
- Configure Named Credentials and External Services
- Ensure secure and scalable communication with external healthcare systems
Event-Driven Processing
- Implement real-time ADT and bed status updates
- Work with messaging systems such as Kafka and Azure Service Bus
- Ensure low-latency, fault-tolerant integrations
Monitoring & Support
- Develop monitoring dashboards and alerting frameworks
- Troubleshoot integration failures and data discrepancies
- Support SIT, UAT, and end-to-end testing activities
Security & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and HITECH standards
- Implement OAuth 2.0, JWT, TLS/HTTPS security protocols
- Ensure secure data transmission and encryption standards
Required Skills
- 5+ years of Integration Engineering experience
- Strong experience with REST/SOAP APIs
- Hands-on experience with HL7 v2 and FHIR APIs
- Experience integrating with EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athena
- Expertise in middleware platforms like MuleSoft, Boomi, or Azure Integration Services
- Experience with Kafka, Azure Service Bus, or similar messaging platforms
- Strong understanding of event-driven architectures
- Salesforce integration experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
