MuleSoft Architect & Senior Developer (4-6 Months)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced MuleSoft Architect & Senior Developer for a contract engagement to lead and optimize our MuleSoft integration platform. The role requires hands-on expertise in Runtime Fabric (RTF), Kubernetes-based deployments, API governance, security, and CI/CD automation.

The contractor will assess the current environment, stabilize and enhance platform architecture, and implement best practices for deployment, security, and observability.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture and hands-on development on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
  • Design, deploy, and optimize Runtime Fabric (RTF) integrated with Kubernetes clusters.
  • Architect secure control plane and runtime connectivity.
  • Implement API-led connectivity patterns (System, Process, Experience APIs).
  • Configure SSL/TLS, OAuth 2.0, JWT, and mTLS authentication mechanisms.
  • Define and enforce API governance and policy frameworks.
  • Establish CI/CD pipelines using GitHub / Azure DevOps.
  • Implement asynchronous API integrated with Azure Service Bus
  • Implement logging separation, monitoring, and observability standards.
  • Provide current-state assessment and future-state architectural recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Mule 4).
  • Proven experience with Runtime Fabric (RTF) deployments.
  • Solid Kubernetes and containerization knowledge.
  • Experience implementing API security and governance policies.
  • CI/CD automation experience using Git-based tools.
  • Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills.

Minimum Requirements

  • 8+ years of integration/middleware experience.
  • 4+ years of MuleSoft architecture and development experience.
  • Hands-on experience deploying MuleSoft in Runtime Fabric environments.
  • Experience working with Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
