1) Job Purpose:

This role is responsible for driving product availability, optimizing service levels, and enhancing distribution efficiency across the supply chain. This role focuses on strategic inventory planning, logistics coordination, and data-driven decision-making to ensure consistent fulfilment performance and customer satisfaction.

Fulfilment Department will have around 4-7 Managers and Total 12-15 people. 4-6 People will be reporting into the role once all hiring is completed. Fulfilment managers and fulfilment executives will report into this role

Other Quantitative and Important Parameters for the job: Budgets/ Volumes/No. of Products/Geography/ Markets/ Customers or any other parameter

Will handle fulfillment MTO and purchases product/ Direct sales orders, All markets and customers across the country.

3) Job Context & Major Challenges:

  • Daily monitoring of fulfilment status of his/her products category
  • Monitoring the key indicators of fulfilment and appraise manager in case of issue
  • Work with sales team on gathering real time priority SKUs
  • Work with plant planners and intimate on low production volume if same is causing sale slowdown and sale loss
  • Fulfilment of ad-hoc requirements from sales.

Range Service Level (Distribution)

  • Maintain a minimum number of Days of Holding (DOH) across all regions and depots.
  • Minimize stockouts while optimizing inventory costs.
  • Strengthen logistics and inventory systems to respond to seasonal and demand variability.
  • Improve distribution network responsiveness to market changes.
  • Use advanced analytics and forecasting to optimize stock allocation and replenishment.

Volume Service Levels

  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet volume requirements.
  • Streamline supply chain processes to reduce order delays and improve completion rates.
  • Implement real-time tracking systems for performance monitoring and continuous improvement.

Fill Rate

  • Stabilize service levels through proactive planning and execution.
  • Optimize inventory planning to ensure uninterrupted product availability.

Optimize Weighted Average Distance in Distribution

  • Use routing algorithms to reduce travel distances and improve delivery efficiency.
  • Reassess distribution center placement for broader regional coverage.
  • Apply logistics analytics to identify inefficiencies and streamline transportation.
  • Enhance coordination between suppliers, warehouses, and logistics partners.

STO Ageing Management

  • Conduct daily follow-ups with plants and logistics teams to expedite pending STOs.
  • Ensure timely and efficient load formation to maximize shipment utilization.
  • Provide clear courier plans to streamline dispatch and reduce delays.

Maldistribution Reduction

  • Analyze demand patterns to prevent overstocking or shortages.
  • Implement corrective actions to balance inventory across regions.
  • Monitor and report on distribution disparities and drive resolution strategies.
