Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial professional to drive business development for our Margin Trading Facility (MTF) Receivables Funding business. The role involves originating, evaluating, onboarding, and managing funding relationships with stockbroking firms across India.
The ideal candidate should possess strong relationship management skills, credit assessment capabilities, and a deep understanding of capital markets and broking business models.
Key Responsibilities
Business Origination & Client Acquisition
- Identify and engage stockbrokers across India for MTF receivables financing opportunities.
- Build relationships with key decision-makers including Promoters, CEOs, CFOs, Treasurers, and Business Heads of broking entities.
- Conduct meetings and presentations to discuss funding structures, product offerings, and partnership opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
Credit Assessment & Due Diligence
- Analyze financial statements, regulatory disclosures, and operational metrics of broking firms.
- Evaluate the quality, scalability, and sustainability of MTF books.
- Gather market intelligence and channel feedback regarding broker reputation, governance standards, operational practices, and competitive positioning.
- Identify potential red flags relating to leverage, concentration risks, governance concerns, funding dependencies, regulatory issues, or asset quality deterioration.
- Recommend suitable clients for onboarding based on risk-adjusted return considerations.
Portfolio Management & Monitoring
- Maintain ongoing engagement with funded brokers and key stakeholders.
- Monitor compliance with sanction terms, covenants, reporting requirements, and funding conditions.
- Track developments in the broker's MTF portfolio, funding requirements, market positioning, and financial performance.
- Evaluate the impact of changing market conditions, volatility, regulatory developments, and capital market trends on the underlying portfolio.
- Escalate emerging risks and recommend corrective actions when required.
Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with Credit, Risk, Legal, Operations, and Compliance teams during onboarding and portfolio monitoring.
- Act as the primary relationship owner for assigned accounts.
- Ensure timely communication and resolution of client requirements.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Strong understanding of capital markets, broking industry, and Margin Trading Facility (MTF) products.
- Ability to read and analyze financial statements, credit profiles, and business models.
- Experience in lending, structured finance, wholesale banking, NBFCs, capital markets, or broker financing.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills with senior management and promoters.
- Ability to independently originate, evaluate, and manage client relationships.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India.

Experience
- 5–12 years of experience in Capital Markets, Wholesale Lending, Structured Finance, NBFCs, Broking, or Financial Institutions.
- Prior experience in broker financing, securities-backed lending, margin funding, treasury, or institutional relationship management will be preferred.
