Inviting applications for the role of Tactical Buyer - (Management Trainee)!
In this role, you will support the indirect buying process of a global Life Science customer, by identifying and sourcing tactical buying projects.
The role will likely work across a variety of categories so we will need to demonstrate a broad range of category knowledge and be able to work dynamically and flexibly with a broad range of Experts.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities and Duties:
Sourcing of the indirect spend categories.
Rate and manage performance of suppliers, ensure supplier performance of all contracts.
Ensuring that the services are as per the contracts.
Will have to scout for better suppliers and maintain supplier catalogs.
Will perform basic spend analytics in order to identify best available market price for the ongoing project.
Should be able to effectively manage internal / external customers and stakeholders.
Will be responsible for savings targets, timely deliveries, customer satisfaction.
Will participate periodically to reviews with regional commodity managers to ensure strategies are aligned and pipeline activity is proceeding.
Carry out all reporting requirements accurately and within the specified time scales.
Receipt and verification of purchase requisition from requestors.
Maintain contract templates and manage the contract approval flow of executed sourcing activities.
Ensure all activities are compliant with policies and procedures.
Develop and maintain templates and data library in collaboration with Customer.
Update / create standard operating procedures and process maps.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: College / University Graduate
Specialized Knowledge: Relevant experience in procurement operations
Skills:
Good analytical / commercial skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Need to be strong team player.
Excellent communication skills will be required as the person will have to communicate with suppliers all over the world.
Should be excellent in Excel in addition to having good working knowledge of MS Word and Power Point.
English language capability to proficiency level.
Systems and Tools:
Proficiency in MS Office.
Knowledge of procurement platforms and system (SAP and Jaggaer)
Experience prior experience in procurement or sourcing.
