Job Title: Medical Social Worker – HR

Qualification: MSW (Master of Social Work) with specialization in HR

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Staffing

  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment for hospital staff (nurses, technicians, admin staff, support staff)
  • Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and assist department heads in hiring decisions
  • Manage onboarding and induction programs for new employees

2. Employee Relations

  • Act as a bridge between management and hospital staff
  • Address employee grievances, conflicts, and workplace issues
  • Promote a healthy work environment and staff well-being

3. HR Operations

  • Maintain employee records, attendance, and leave management
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and hospital policies
  • Handle payroll coordination (with finance team)

4. Training & Development

  • Identify training needs for hospital staff
  • Organize workshops (communication, patient care, safety, etc.)
  • Support continuous professional development programs

5. Performance Management

  • Assist in performance appraisal processes
  • Track employee performance and provide feedback systems
  • Support promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions

6. Compliance & Policy Implementation

  • Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and HR policies
  • Maintain documentation for audits (NABH, JCI, etc.)
  • Implement workplace safety and ethical standards

7. Welfare & Counseling

  • Provide basic counseling support to staff (stress, burnout, work-life balance)
  • Organize employee engagement and welfare programs
  • Handle crisis situations (staff conflict, emotional distress)

Required Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of labor laws and HR practices
  • Basic counseling and conflict resolution skills
  • Organizational and multitasking ability
  • Empathy and understanding (important in hospital environment)

Preferred Experience

  • 0–1 year
  • Internship in hospital/NGO is a plus

Work Environment

  • Hospitals, clinics, multi-specialty healthcare centers
  • May involve working in shifts depending on hospital needs
