Job Title: MSSQL Server DBA (10+ Years of Experience)

Job Description

We seek an experienced MS SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) with over 10 years of expertise in database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, security, and high availability solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in managing large-scale databases, ensuring optimal performance, and supporting mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain MSSQL Server (2016/2019/2022) databases in on-premises and cloud environments.
• Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize SQL queries, indexes, and configurations for improved efficiency.
• Migrate databases from on-premises SQL Server to cloud environments (Azure SQL Database)
• Implement and manage high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions, including Always Availability Groups, Log Shipping, Mirroring, and Replication.
• Perform regular database backups, recovery planning, and failover testing to ensure business continuity.
• Ensure database security by implementing user authentication, access controls, encryption, and compliance with industry standards.
• Troubleshoot database-related issues, resolve system failures and collaborate with development and infrastructure teams.
• Automate routine database administration tasks using PowerShell, T-SQL, or other scripting languages.
• Conduct database upgrades, patches, and migrations as needed.
• Develop and maintain documentation for database configurations, policies, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
