Detailed JD *(Roles and Responsibilities)
- Manage SQL Server databases.
- Provide production support and end-to-end problem resolution.
- Install, configure, and maintain database servers and processes.
- Monitor systems health and performance.
- Experience in Database high availability feature like ALWAYS ON
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
- Provide support for critical production systems.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities.
- Monitoring all the Alerts. Every alert DBA team member will respond with the initially response and followed by resolution email.
- Troubleshooting the SQL jobs maintenance jobs failed
- Troubleshooting the ETL jobs if incase job is failed.
- Troubleshoot disk space alert.
- Experience in Creating, maintaining and scheduled jobs.
- Database backup and restore including monitoring and verifying backups and perform ad-hoc
- backups and restore.
- Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges).
- Experience in MSSQL Built-in tools such as SQL Profiler, SQL Database Tuning Advisor, Query
- Execution Plan, etc. as well as third party tools; Actifio/Foglight
- Experience in creating and maintaining SQL Agent Jobs and Maintenance Plans
- Knowledge on SSIS and SSRS
- Microsoft SQL Server Version updates and patching activities.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate clearly to team members and clients, verbally and in writing.
- Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO)
- Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
- Experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server (including AlwaysOn)
- Extensive knowledge on SQL, T-SQL, SQL Server database and SQL Server Database Administration.
- Prior experience with Azure.
