Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:
- 12+ yearsoverall experience in data engineering / data platform roles.
- 2+ yearsof hands-on experience architecting and implementing onMicrosoft Fabric.
- Strong proficiency inSQL(performance tuning, complex transformations, analytics-ready modeling).
- Hands-on expertise withAzure Data Factory(or Fabric pipelines), including orchestration patterns and parameterized pipelines.
- Strong hands-on development inPySparkfor scalable transformation workflows.
- Experience implementingCI/CDfor data workloads (Azure DevOps/GitHub, automated deployments, environment management).
- Strong understanding ofdata engineering fundamentals(ingestion, transformations, modeling, orchestration, testing).
- Strong knowledge of modern data architectures such asMedallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold),Data Vault, and related patterns.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Experience withSnowflake(architecture, migration, performance).
- Experience withMicrosoft Purviewfor cataloging, lineage, and governance.
- Strong understanding ofdata governance, security, and lineagewithin the Microsoft ecosystem (access controls, auditing, compliance).
- Exposure toPower BI and Semantic Models(DAX/modeling is a plus).
