About The Opportunity
A tertiary-care healthcare provider in the maternal & women's health sector, delivering end-to-end obstetrics and gynaecology services across inpatient, surgical and outpatient settings in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The practice focuses on comprehensive maternity care, management of high-risk pregnancies, minimally invasive gynaecologic procedures and multidisciplinary perinatal support.
We are hiring a full-time, on-site Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist (MS/DGO) to join our clinical team in Nagpur and lead clinical delivery, surgical services and quality initiatives.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient obstetrics & gynaecology care including antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal management.
- Lead and perform deliveriesvaginal, instrumental and Caesarean sectionsensuring adherence to clinical protocols and patient safety standards.
- Manage high-risk pregnancies and obstetric emergencies in coordination with neonatology and anaesthesia teams.
- Perform operative gynaecology procedures including diagnostic and therapeutic hysteroscopy and laparoscopic surgeries where indicated.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, contribute to morbidity & mortality reviews, audits and clinical governance activities.
- Collaborate in multidisciplinary care pathways, mentor junior medical staff and participate in community outreach and patient education on maternal health.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MBBS with MS (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) or DGO and valid State Medical Council registration.
- Proven competence in Caesarean section and management of labour ward emergencies.
- Experience in high-risk obstetric care and antepartum/postpartum management.
- Clinical proficiency in foetal monitoring (CTG) and basic obstetric ultrasound interpretation.
- Operative gynaecology skills including hysteroscopy and laparoscopic procedures.
- Familiarity with hospital quality systems, clinical documentation standards and adherence to infection control protocols.
Preferred
- Fellowship or additional training in minimally invasive gynaecologic surgery or maternal-fetal medicine.
- Experience working in a tertiary-care or high-volume maternity unit, including teaching or supervisory roles.
- Exposure to electronic medical records (EMR) and participation in clinical audit or research projects.
